~ Today, immediately following the worship service, there will be a brief congregational meeting to deal with some financial arrangements concerning Les Biggs’ three month sabbatical next October – December.

~ Adventure Camp happened this past week. Thanks to Samantha Johnston and all the other helpers who made it a good week!

~ Les Biggs will be on vacation for the next four weeks. He will be back in the office on August 18th. For pastoral care needs or congregational concerns, please contact Ryan Johnston or Greg Hatton.

~ “Thirst for Justice” presents: “A WORLD WITHOUT WATER”, July 24th at 7:00 p.m. Come yourself and invite a friend who might be interested in this important topic. There are information/invitation cards in the foyer.

~ Did you know that the largest Equipping and Renewal Conference in North America happens in Edmonton, Alta. January 29 – 31st, 2010? See the Bulletin Board for more information.

~ This summer the C.E. Committee is planning to offer another edition of “Adventure Camp”. Talk to Samantha Johnston for more information. The Camp will be held July 13 – 17th from 9:00 a.m. to noon. Helpers are still needed.

~ Dale Armstrong and Samantha Preston extend an invitation to the church family to attend their wedding ceremony at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 11th at Elk Lake Baptist, and also a light lunch immediately following the ceremony in the Fellowship Hall.

~ Les Biggs is away today, having (yesterday) lead the marriage ceremony for Dean and Kate in Strathcona Park (just west of Campbell River).

~ David and Cathie Phillips and CBM will lead an unforgettable tour of Turkey next October 18th to October 30th. See the Bulletin Board for more information if you think you might be able to join the Phillips on this amazing tour!

~ On Tuesday, at 10:00 a.m., our building is being used for a Memorial Service.

~ First Baptist Church Vancouver has hired a new Senior Pastor, Darrell Johnson. Darrell Johnson has been a Professor at Regent College in recent years.
