~ The Easter Drama titled, “Going Home”, written and directed by Les Funk, will take place this morning. There will be a soup and sandwich lunch after the drama (with thanks to the Social Committee)…everyone is invited to stay for lunch.

~ Adult Sunday School happens at 10:00 a.m. The topic for this class is the book of Esther. Everyone is welcome. No adult Sunday School Class on Easter Sunday.

~ Elk Lake Baptist Church wishes to hire a part time youth leader (10 hours per month) for a group of early teens and nearly teens that are eager to be part of a youth group experience. ~ Attention all Ladies! If you have one, wear a hat on Easter Sunday! It’s an old tradition we’d like to revive so look in your closet, borrow one, or buy yourself a new spring bonnet and wear it to church on Easter morning!

~ The Lunch Bunch, which normally meets on the first Thursday of the month, has been postponed until Thursday, April 8th, at 12:00 noon because of Easter being next weekend.

~ Attention all Ladies! It’s spring and Easter’s coming. We would like to, just for Easter Sunday, revive the old tradition of wearing a “spring bonnet” for the Easter service. So, ladies, dig in your wardrobe for a vintage hat, or buy yourself a new hat covered in flowers, birds or whatever you can find, and get yourself into the spring spirit by wearing some sort of bonnet on Easter morning! Looking forward to seeing you all in your spring finery!

~ CBM/Sharing Way have established a Haiti Earthquake Relief Fund. You may contribute to this fund through an ELB giving envelope. (Write: Haiti Earthquake Relief). Cheques may be made out to ELB from which you will receive an income tax receipt. All such designated funds will be sent to CBM/Sharing Way for helping the situation in Haiti.

~ A New Feature: Each Sunday, we will be providing a special worship bulletin for children ages 3 – 6 and one for children ages 7 – 11. Please see an usher if your children didn’t receive this bulletin. (Thanks to Alison Ellis for arranging this).

~ The Nursery is seeking people who would, once a month (or less if more people are available) look after young children for the first part of the service. (This will enable parents not to miss most of the worship services.) Thanks to Charlotte Ann who is doing this on the first Sunday of the month. Please speak to Alison Ellis if you can help out.

~ Spring Fling Spaghetti Dinner! Make sure you keep Friday the 19th of March at 6:00 p.m. open on your calendar for a wonderful dinner of spaghetti, salad and garlic bread and a heavenly dessert. And that’s only the food – just think of all the warm friendships and fellowshipping that happens at these events. Don’t miss this one, and invite your family and friends!

~ Next Saturday night we turn the clocks 1 hour ahead. Daylight savings time begins on March 14th.
