Announcements for November 15th, 2009

~ Adult Sunday School is on Sunday mornings at 10:00 a.m. Bible character studies are the focus. Everyone is welcome! Speak to Rick Downe for more information.

~ Les Biggs is on Sabbatical from October 1, 2009 to December 31, 2009. During the Sabbatical, Ryan Johnston will be in the Church Office on Fridays. Leave a message on Ryan’s cell to reach him mid-week (250) 884-7583.

~ Jeff Richards will be preaching next Sunday. For more information on the schedule of guest speakers, please talk to Ryan.

~ Fellowship Lunch – After the service today, everyone is welcome to join us for a lunch of delicious homemade soups and desserts. If you are a first-time guest, we encourage you to stay and also eat and fellowship with us. There’s plenty for everyone!

~ Advent Service and Dessert will be on the evening of November 29th. Dessert will begin at 6:30 p.m. and the Advent service follows at 7:30 p.m.

~ Attention Baby Lovers! The nursery is looking for volunteers to watch babies and toddlers aged 0-3 from the beginning of the service up to the children’s time. If you are interested and willing to help, please speak to Alison or Sam.

~ Ushers request help with the collection! If you feel you might be interested in helping out once in a while taking the collection, please let Neil Christensen know as soon as possible. Thank you.

~ Craft Group meets Tuesday of this week. The group will be making glass bells or small gold walnut Christmas tree ornaments to sell at the Christmas Jam, Jelly and Pie Sale on December 6th.

~ The Baptist Women Christmas Jam, Jelly and Pie Sale will be held after the service on Sunday, December 6th. This has become a great fundraiser for the Baptist Women so come prepared with your cash on that day and invite friends!

~ New Church Event Calendar! There is now a calendar posted in the office outlining all the things happening in the church. Committee Chairs and small group leaders please update this calendar as you plan events.

~ The new “Our Daily Bread” is in for those interested
