~ PRAYER EVENT: It is our great privilege to converse with Almighty God, Who, in His great love, wants to converse with us. As James puts it, “Come near to God and He will come near to you” James 4:8. On Thursday, June 25, 2009, from 7- 8 p.m., the Deacons invite you to a time of prayerful discernment of God’s ongoing guidance for our congregation. You will not be asked to pray out loud but your presence is still considered important. Child care will be provided. The Deacons are praying that this kind of Prayer Event becomes a holy habit of our congregation.
