~ The Church Picnic is today, immediately following the worship service. The picnic will be held on the “North Lawn”. We will be sharing a picnic-style potluck lunch and coffee, tea, juice and ice cream are supplied. After lunch there will be games and fun activities for all ages, so we encourage everyone to make an effort to stay for this event and have a great time of fellowship, even if you can’t play the games. See you there later!

~ PRAYER EVENT: It is our great privilege to converse with Almighty God who in His great love, wants to converse with us. As James puts it, “Come near to God and He will come near to you” James 4:8. On Thursday, June 25, 2009, from 7 – 8 p.m., the Deacons invite you to a time of prayerful discernment of God’s ongoing guidance for our congregation. You will not be asked to pray out loud but your presence is still considered important. Child care will be provided. The Deacons are praying that this kind of Prayer Event becomes a holy habit of our congregation.
