Pastor: Rev. Grant Hill
Grant, with his wife Becky and their two daughters, has been a part of the ELB community since 2016. Born in Kelowna, Grant completed his Bachelor of Music at UVic in 2003 and his Master of Divinity at Regent College in 2007. He served as an Associate Pastor at Mississauga Chinese Baptist and Olivet Baptist (New Westminster) before his call to serve at ELB. He enjoys people, good conversation, playing guitar and being outdoors.

Youth & Young Life Leader: Allen Jacques

Allen, along with his wife Nareka became a part of the ELB family September 2020. Born and raised right here on the Saanich Peninsula. Allen also works as an Education  Assistant in the school district and works for Young Life serving the teenagers in our community. Allen enjoys playing hockey and loves playing all sorts of games.

Office Administrator: Barb Verstraaten

Barb has attended ELB since 1986 and contributes musically to the worship service each Sunday. She was born in Winnipeg and raised in Saskatchewan until relocating to Victoria at the age of 16 with her family. She retired in 2025 from her career as a legal assistant and took on the role of office administrator at ELB. She enjoys many hobbies, including sewing, knitting and quilting.

Just to avoid confusion: There are two church buildings on the property. We meet in the building at the top of the driveway/hill, and our neighbours the All Saints of Alaska Orthodox Church meet in the building closer to the highway.
